The Art of Macraweave Workshop

95.00

When: Saturday, May 18, 3 - 7 pm

You've heard of macrame, you've heard of weaving... but have you heard about the amazing combination of the two: macraweave? Get all of the quick, easy knotting of macrame and all the texture and colorful details of weaving in one piece!

In this four-hour workshop, Sarah of Sarah Harste Weavings will guide you in creating your own medium-size macraweave wall hanging from start to finish. You'll learn the basics of macraweave, including: how to design a macrame background with designated "pockets" for weaving, how to weave tabby and soumak onto a macrame piece, how to work with roving on a macrame piece, and how to attach fringe.

Please note, this is an intermediate level class; you must have taken one of Sarah's macrame workshops (wall hanging or plant hanger is fine!) or weaving workshops to take the class. If you have questions, please email sarah@shesgotthefever.com.

Attendees must be age 16 and up. Space is limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot!
