We keep our workshop size small so you get lots of attention and time from the instructor. Many are as small as six (beginner sewing & knitting), and the absolute largest class is 15 students. Our workshops are mostly project based so you can create something to take home.
Most classes are for age 16 and over, unless specified in the description. Please contact us if you have questions.
Every workshop includes instruction by an experienced maker and many include materials as well, so you do not need to spend time trying to find supplies or figure out what they are. Any workshop that does not include supplies is clearly marked and we offer a discount on supply purchases for those workshops in our shop. Generally supply purchases are $30- $60. We supply all tools, and only ask that you separately purchase fabric, yarn, and sometimes a pattern.
We also offer private lessons for $40 per hour in some of our crafts (primarily knitting and sewing) if you prefer to work on a very specific project, or want one-on-one time. Contact us for details and scheduling. We generally schedule these sessions on weekdays.
Leather Projects Workshop
Leather Projects Workshop
When: Sunday, February 24, 1 - 4 pm
Do you love quality leather goods? Curious what goes into them and wish you could try working with leather yourself? This workshop lets you make some fun beginner projects and learn all about getting started with hand leather crafting (we don’t use sewing machines in this workshop).
You’ll make two intro level projects with genuine natural veg-tanned cowhide that will let you learn several different leather working techniques, including saddle stitch (hand stitching), working with dye, setting a snap or rivet, or using a button stud closure.
We'll cover leather working terms and tools and help you figure out where to go from here if you want to pursue further projects.
Have fun experimenting with leather craft and learning that you can create a cool accessory with your own hands. This is a great workshop for friends or couples to learn together.
Price includes all materials and use of all tools. You just show up and have fun.
Registration and Payment: All workshops and classes must be registered for and paid for in advance of the sessions.
Cancellation Policy: We do not offer refunds for missed classes. This is because we purchase and prepare materials, hire instructors, and put effort into making the class happen once you register. If you cannot attend a workshop after registering, you are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend. Otherwise, please notify the studio within 72 hours of the event start to receive studio credit for an alternative workshop.
If the studio cancels a workshop you will be offered a full refund or studio credit, your choice.
