When: Saturday, January 12, 2 - 5 pm
Up your knitting game by learning to knit in the round and making a basic hat. Get three hours of hands-on instruction, time to practice your skills in class, and the chance to ask tons of questions. This three hour workshop will have you casting on with the long tail cast-on, knitting and purling, and shaping the hat. You won’t finish the hat in class, but you will have the skills needed to finish the hat and a thorough understanding of reading a pattern for knitting in the round.
This is not a beginner knitting class. If you have never knitted before, you may be interested in our Beginner Knitting Class.
Once you knit one, you will likely be hooked - and what a useful addiction!
What You Will Learn: How to knit a hat in the round, basic knitting terminology, pattern reading, understanding the tools used for hats, how to cast on, bind-off, and decrease. (This class assumes you have learned to cast on, bind-off, knit and purl previously, but you do not have to be an expert with these skills.)
Materials: Students receive a 10% discount on supply purchases for the class. Please arrive 15 minutes early to make your purchases as needed, or stop by anytime before class and we’ll help you find what you need. Feel free to contact us with questions.
