The last month has been all about sewing at the studio. We’ve had classes, workshops and parties on sewing garments, cloning your clothes, embroidery, and making pillows. I’ve been doing a lot of sewing myself, and with my son, too. It’s been fun immersing myself in sewing.
Right now I’m working on a Cleo Skirt by Made by Rae, which may be a workshop soon. I’m working through the Grainline Studio patterns (we taught the Willow Tank in the garment sewing workshop in June, and we carry their patterns in the shop).
My son and I have been sewing together and making fun things for him, including an apron, cloned t-shirt, and this Field Trip Raglan T-shirt pattern by Oliver + S.
Oh, and we even made some rope bowls (yep, we’ve got a class for that).
Now I’m working on a couple of quilts, and planning some quilting workshops for later this summer.
Excited to be doing so many sewing projects at once, and of course it’s inspiring me to go heavy on offering sewing classes in the next couple months. (So if there’s a topic or project you’d like to see offered, let me know).
Thought I’d share a few pictures of our projects and keep you updated on upcoming things to do in workshops or find in the shop. All the fabric in these projects is available for sale in the shop (even without taking a class). We even have thread, pattern paper, and a few other goodies you might need. Hope to see you soon. Stop by and chat about your current project or what’s holding you back on a project.
